Your Hosts Rick and Connie Bowers

For several years Rick and Connie enjoyed staying at Bed & Breakfasts and thought about it as a future endeavour. That dream became a reality in the summer of 1999 when they purchased their present home. After six months of renovations, they were ready to welcome guests and a new millenium. Since opening eight years ago, they have welcomed thousands of people into their home and truly enjoy doing so. "Every day is different - and that's a good thing" says Connie. "We have met so many wonderful people from around the world and stay in touch with many of them. It's like an extended family". We've been lucky enough to live in several great places, Halifax, Toronto, Ottawa, Victoria and Washington, DC and feel very comfortable welcoming our guests and making them feel at home. We take pride in offering quality service and hospitality. "We like our job and we hope it shows."

In their spare time, Rick and Connie enjoy nature, skiing, travel, gardening and reading. They admit to having a penchant for trivia and word games of all sorts, especially Scrabble where, much to Rick's chagrin, they keep score and keep track. They have also been known to enjoy a friendly game of bridge and are pleased to do so with their guests when time allows.
